Giving a Halloween gift doesn’t have to be a scary process! Personalized gift baskets are a terrific way to celebrate the holiday with someone special and with the abundance of Halloween goodies available, it’s super easy!

Start with a plastic pumpkin candy holder, like the kind kids use for trick or treating.  Throw in some black and orange confetti or shredded paper for a more festive look. Start with a container. can you think of something other than a basket you can use? How about a waste paper pail that matches the decor of their room? You can also use a bike helmet or a backpack to hold all the goodies you’ll fill it with. The idea is to make the container as useful as the contents inside. If you’re going to use a basket, try looking for one that has a bold color or an odd shape so that it stands out.

When you start shopping for the contents, think about their hobbies, their likes and interests. That will be enough to get you started with what to buy.

A few other ideas that you might want to look into are, CD’s, DVD’s, software, journals, colored pens, phone cards, funky hats, colorful silky scarves,  sunglasses, skin care products, hair care products, cologne, bath products, nail polish, cosmetics, socks, diary, hair clips, cell phone cases, key rings and cool jewelery. Fill in the empty spots with candy, chocolate and snacks.

If you want to add something else, purchase a gift card to their favorite clothing or music store. You can even purchase a gift card for an activity they might like like horseback riding or a day at a skateboard park.
