But, for the beginning you need some stuff to create a beautiful gift basket, and first of all, decide what items you will put inside your gift basket. You can choose items that match with the occasion or event. For example, for baby birth gift, you can choose baby clothes, diapers, baby toys, baby foods, baby shower, or other things. For holiday event, you can put chocolates, candies, biscuits, soft drinks, or wine. You also can pick some kitchen items, food or stationary supplies. If you are going to give foods, make sure that the food is in good condition, and having a long expired time.

After you decide the gift, you can start with the basket. These are the things you need to create it.
- Decorative basket. You can choose from a range type of material, rattan, plastic, or other material. You also can determine to use a basket with handle or not using handle.
- Ribbons or bows. Choose attractive color or motives, but consider the event or occasion.
- Tissue paper or shredded paper. You can get shredded paper in vary colors or design.
- For the wrapping, you can choose plastic wrap; there are a thin plastic wrap with motive that you can choose. Other alternatives for plastic wrap are shrink wrap or tulle netting.
- Tape, double tape, or glue and scissor.

After you get all things you need, it is time to make the basket. First, put tissue papers layering in the bottom of basket so it will make a soft base for your gift. You also can add shredded paper to stuff empty space between your gifts inside the basket. After that, arrange your gift items in the basket. If you can, you may want to create some decorative shapes from your gift. For example, you can create flower shape from a towel or napkin to make it more attractive.

Spread your wrap and put your basket in the center of it. Gather the wrap at the top of the basket, and secure it with ribbons or bows. Another way that commonly uses to wrap basket with handle is, wrap plastic around the basket so the end of the wrap come in the bottom of the basket, tape or glue it. With this style of wrapping, people will not see the end of the wrap. You can decorate your wrapped basket with tape the ribbon around it. And now, your basket is ready to deliver.
