Create A Personalized Gift Basket

Personalized gift baskets are one of the most versatile presents ever and is usually filled with nice things. Who can resist a basket of goodies? To top off everything, gift baskets are usually well received and appreciated – so there you have it, the perfect gift idea.

When making a gift basket, it is useful to know who will be getting it. Will it be a child, an adult, a teenager or an elderly person? Knowing who will be getting the gift basket will make it easier to fill up and arrange. An elderly person might not have any use for items in a basket that were intended for a teenager and vice versa. The occasion and type of gift basket should be decided on as well.

Also, persons can go the extra mile by finding out at least two favorite items of the person who will be receiving the gift basket so they can be included. This can be their favorite bath oil fragrance, chocolate, perfume, body splash, scented lotion or whatever; it all depends on the type of basket being made. If food items will be included in the gift basket, please be aware that they should be non-perishable, just in case the gift basket has a long way to go, for example to an out of town friend.

One can never go wrong when being creative. With this in mind, be different, add a dash of creativity when making gift baskets. For fillers, let your imagination run wild and use totally different fillers like popcorn, colored sponges that are cut in very small squares or cubes, or you can just rein in your wild imagination and stick to shredded paper of various colors. Shredded plastic of various colors can also be used as fillers. The colors of the fillers can be contrasting or complementing, it does not matter as long as they add something nice to the gift basket.

Of course, the container cannot be left out. The usual and popular basket is a given, however, a pail can be used instead of the traditional basket. To give it some oomph, just decoupage it. Something useful, practical, beautiful and durable is born. Have fun experimenting with different containers for making gift baskets.
